A TRIUMPHANT Barack Obama yesterday staked his claim to be the new JFK - as 250,000 delirious Berliners greeted him like a rock star.

Obama was cheered and applauded by the vast flag-waving crowd who flocked to the German capital's Tiergarten Park to hear him outline his vision of the future.

The 46-year-old Democratic presidential candidate did not disappoint them - giving a virtuoso performance.
