THE grieving family of a woman who died after a routine operation settled their High Court action against the clinic where she died for s580,000 yesterday.

Saundra O'Connor, 42, suffered multiple organ failure and a heart attack after the procedure in the Galway Clinic in 2005.

The mother of two fell into a semi-vegetative state until her death on February 19.
