WORCESTER - The meat of Northboro's powerful lineup was able to get to Joe Green early.

But late, with the game on the line, the Main South ace was unfazed on the mound.

After a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth put Main South up, 6-5, Green mowed down Post 234's third, fourth and fifth hitters in the top of the seventh to preserve the win last night at New Balance Field in the second round of the American Legion Zone 4 playoffs.

Second-seeded Main South will travel to No. 6 Northboro at 5 tonight for Game 2 of the best-of-three series ...
