SICK bystanders took photos of seriously injured people following a horror smash at an illegal road race in Warwickshire.

One witness spoke of his disgust as a friend was hurt at the "car cruise" in front of crowds of up to 2,000 people.

Ten people were taken to hospital following the smash on Sunday at Nuneaton's Bermuda industrial estate.

Craig Broadhurst said he thought one of the cars involved had been travelling in excess of 90mph.
