PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Jul. 21, 2008 (IPS/GIN) -- Hundreds of Pakistani families have left Peshawar's posh Hayatabad Township, fearing that this border city may soon fall into the hands of the Taliban.

"We left our home in Hayatabad because of the military operation against Mangal Bagh," which concluded in early July, said Asim Gul, a pharmacist who shifted his family to his village in the Mardan district of the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP).
