FITCHBURG - The quintessential summer evening in New England is not complete without a concert on the common, a town band playing Sousa marches, or in the case of Fitchburg, the three-part harmonics and easy listening music of Rhythm last Wednesday.

More than 100 folks gathered on the Upper Common to hear the group while relaxing on lawn chairs, sitting on park benches, walking their dogs, or letting their kids run around the gazebo.
