IRELAND have suffered a double-hammer blow for this weekends Davis Cup showdown against Ukraine.

Following on from the withdrawal of national No 1 Louk Sorensen earlier in the week, because of a stomach-muscle injury sustained in the second round of the Wimbledon qualifiers last month, his obvious replacement John McGahon has been ruled out.

McGahon will miss the Fitzwilliam tie today, tomorrow and Sunday due to an ankle injury that he sustained in a tournament in Morocco two weeks ago.

Now team boss Sean Sorensen has been forced to call on ...
