EGTON'S Colin Bailey finished first in the first class section in Scarborough and District Motor Club's recent sporting weekend trial at Harwood Dale.

Len Hutty made his long journey from Camberley worthwhile as he produced his best performance on the big Matchless with nine marks lost.

The only rider to come close to matching Hutty was Ian Hopley from Danby.

Riding a beautifully prepared 250cc Yamaha Majesty, Hopley proved superb on the long slippy hill climbs.
