MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 1996--POWER CORP. OF CANADA (TSE, ME VSE:POW) The Board of Directors of Power Corporation of Canada today approved three executive changes to become effective following the Annual Meeting of the Corporation on May 10, 1996.

Mr. Paul Desmarais, P.C., C.C., will relinquish his position as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Power Corporation. He will continue as a director and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board. Mr. Desmarais has held the office of Chairman and CEO of Power since 1968. Mr. Desmarais will continue to be…
