Irishman's killing by US police a case of excessive force, says family
THE family of the young Irishman shot dead in the United States by a police officer have said the killing seemed to be "a clear case of unreasonable and excessive force".
The family of 20-year-old Andrew 'AJ' Hanlon -- who was shot dead almost a fortnight ago in the town of Silverton, Oregon, by police officer Tony Gonzalez -- made the comment in a statement released after they met local Marion County DA Walt Beglau on Friday.
