MR Robin Swann, the Ulster Unionist Party's Spokesman on Social Economy, Energy and Consumer Affairs, has said the war against lignite mining in the North Antrim constituency "is still on".
And Mr Swann has urged the recently appointed Stormont minister for the Environment and Enterprise , Trade and Investment to make a definitive statement that lignite mining proposals for the constituency are "dead and buried once and for all".
Mr Swann is also a senior member of the UUP's North Antrim Management Committee.
