We are ready to see some fireworks in Washington, and I am not referring to the beautiful display that illuminated our nation's capital last week. The kind of spark we need is decisive federal action on a housing bill. It is past time for Congress to move forward on these pressing issues -- to protect homeowners, restore the reputation of the mortgage industry and stabilize the economy.
