A SUMMER piano recital from an internationally acclaimed musician helped raise [pounds sterling]5,000 for Lost Chord.

Benjamin Frith, a concert pianist born in South Yorkshire, was joined by two sopranos for the performance which was organised to generate much needed funds for the Dinnington and Maltby Guardian's Adopted Charity 2008.

Lost Chord chief executive says she is overwhelmed by the success of the evening, which was held at All Saints Church in Laughton-en-le-Morthen.
