BAGHDAD, July 8 (VOI) Co Two Baghdad-based newspapers gave prominence in their Tuesday issues to the United Arab Emirates' initiative to cancel Iraq's debts and to appoint a new ambassador in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

Al-Soumariya, an independent daily newspaper, devoted its editorial to what it described as the "generosity" of the United Arab Emirates and its courageous stance towards neighboring Iraq.
