SURVIVAL rates for patients having heart surgery at the Northern General Hospital are consistently high, new figures published by a health watchdog reveal.
The Healthcare Comm-ission found that 96 per cent of patients survived bypass surgery, valve replacement, and other types of heart surgery at the hospital between 2004-2007.
