The Rhode Island Airport Corporation board yesterday added another alternative to the possibilities for extending the runway at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick. The newest alternative would position an 8,700-foot runway farther south than previously proposed, eliminating the need to move heavily traveled Airport Road or Route 37. A related proposal would alter the design of the airport's secondary runway to do away with a 1,000-foot stretch that would have pushed the so-called "crosswind" landing strip toward Post Road.
