Burton Latimer school gets go-ahead to build.

A primary school has been given permission to build an extension after a planning row.

Building work on the single-storey extension at St Mary's Primary School in High Street, Burton Latimer, was halted in April when residents complained.

The school had begun building in February and staff thought the school did not need planning permission for the work.

But when the roof eves were put up, people living nearby complained the building was affecting their light and the school discovered planning permission was needed.
