Mar. 8--Rare coins, gold jewelry and even the lid to an Egyptian mummy case are some of the items being offered under an inventory reduction sale by Medlar's North Inc.

The store, located at 7115 Blanco Road, opens the sale to the public today after a preview for invited guests, officials said.

Owner Stanley Medlar said Thursday that the business, founded in 1974 by his father Robert Medlar, plans to use sale proceeds to satisfy debts in connection with the business' filing three months ago for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Court ...
