Hip hops to Fort Point; FP3 brings high design to Southie district.(Business)

Boston's Berkeley Investments is positioning its new FP3 condo complex as a hip destination spot in South Boston's emerging Fort Point/Seaport District.

When the development opens in the next few months, it will feature 97 high-end condos, plus three new restaurants operated by Boston uber-chef Barbara Lynch.

FP3 is just the latest addition to the Fort Point/Seaport area, whose backers hope new shops and restaurants along Congress Street make the neighborhood an alternative to the chic South End.
