Mar. 5--In 11th Century Spain, El Cid, the military legend, died after battling Moor invaders. In modern-day Miami, El Cid, the legendary castle restaurant, has gone down in bankruptcy court.

A Miami landmark since it opened in 1979, El Cid has had its steel doors shut since Friday. The restaurant, which has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization since July, was ordered into Chapter 7 liquidation by Bankruptcy Judge Robert A. Marks last week.
