THE local cricket scene was a complete washout last weekend on both Saturday and Sunday.
There was no play in the Bradford or Halifax Leagues but one got underway on Saturday in the Drakes Premiership and was in fact completed and several started on the Sunday with only one being completed.
Skelmanthorpe with a double whammy while others sat and played cards went to the top of the league after seeing off Hall Bower on the Saturday and Delph and Dobcross on the Sunday.
