Brooks is featured on seven jazz recordings in 1995 alone, yet he produces and arranges for others, and teaches at Montclair Univ in NJ. He keeps up as a performing artist by playing with his own bands or with Donald Byrd. Their production is a mix of jazz, DJ, and rap, all African American expressions.
