AUSTRALIA'S BRAMBLES EXPECTS SOLID EARNINGS GROWTH THIS YEAR.

MELBOURNE, June 24 Asia Pulse - Australian pallet supplier Brambles Ltd (ASX:BXB) expects solid earnings growth this year and next as it offsets the effect of high fuel costs and builds a strong pipeline of contract wins.

Brambles said today that the effect of high fuel prices on the company had not been as great as expected and new contract wins would be significant contributors to growth in the new financial year.

Shares in Brambles jumped A67 cents, or 8.96 per cent, to A$8.15 (US$7.76) today.
