Hitch in road to buying the farm?

CLINTON - The Board of Selectmen approved placing a conservation restriction on the Wekepeke Reservoir Wednesday night, only to discover a new issue may disrupt the town's intent to close on the $2.7 million, 62-acre Rauscher property next week. While the land is still for sale at $2.7 million, there is confusion over whether it is, in fact, 62 acres.

If the town does not close on the Rauscher property by next week, it will forfeit $353,600 in state grant money, which would help lower the cost of the purchase. The grant stipulates that ...
