WIDNES-BORN concert pianist Martin Roscoe is basking in another critical success, having recorded the complete piano music of Danish composer Carl Nielsen. He was an indifferent pianist at best, but fascinated by the instrument. As a result, he produced a number of delightful pieces for amateurs and children to play, and substantial works like the Theme and Variations and the late three piano pieces which stand alongside his symphonies and concertos.
