The Interstate Commerce Commission once had great influence over transportation regulations and issues. It decided major rate cases in the 1940s and 1950s, but seemed to be losing prominence in the late 1950s. The commission was founded in 1887 and ended in 1995.
So the ICC is dead at age 108. I was unable to attend the funeral and feel badly about that. If there were eulogies I missed them, and it's a wonderment as to what might have been said.
