A GORDON dog has become a star after his crimefighting skills made the national press and morning television, writes Simon Duke.

Cromwell, the English mastiff, isn't exactly your ordinary run-of-the-mill pet. But the fact that he is 22-stone certainly makes him a force to be reckoned with, as one burglar found out to his cost.
