THE speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, William Hay MLA has launched a report on proposals for a new cultural tourism trail which will follow in the footsteps of the Saint Columba - a pivotal figure in the spread of Christianity in 6th century Scotland and the establishment of the fledgling Gaelic kingdom of Dal Riata which stretched from western Scotland and Northeast Ireland.
