Coinciding with Louise Bourgeois's touring retrospective opening at New York's Guggenheim Museum on June 27, several recent documentary films about the life and work of the French-born New York artist are screening in U.S. theaters. One of the major features is Louise Bourgeois: The Spider, The Mistress, and The Tangerine, directed by Marion Cajori and Amei Wallach; Cajori died in 2006, before the film was completed. Clearly a labor of love, this visually and emotionally engaging documentary, premieres at New York's Film Forum and other venues on June 25.
