A LIVE NEWS REPORT AT A MAINE MOVIE THEATER WHERE Vice President Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, was opening sparked a reaction in the newsroom that was hard for many to believe.
After the live report aired, Michael Palmer, the general manager of WVII, WFVX, ABC and Fox affiliates in Bangor, sent out an e-mail to his joint production staff that said: "I was wondering where we should send the bill for the live shot Friday at the theater for the Al Gore commercial we aired." Then he added: "When Bar Harbor is underwater, then we can do global warming stories." ...
