Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA (SQM) said it has entered into an agreement with Migao Corp to form a 50-50 joint venture for the production and distribution of potassium nitrate in China.
The first step of the agreement will be the construction of a 40,000 metric ton potassium nitrate facility, requiring a total investment of 20 mln usd, SQM said in a statement.
The facility should be operational by the first quarter next year, according to SQM, which is listed in New York and Santiago. The statement did not disclose the ...
