Tune in to watch changing face of High Street.
|
MAJOR events in Kilkenny's history, such as the beer festivals of the 1960s, the 1971 fire, GAA homecomings and St Patrick's Day Parades, will feature in a new documentary series looking at the changes in Ireland over the past few decades.
RTE's 'On The Street Where You Live', to be broadcast later this year, will include an episode about Kilkenny's High Street.
With archive footage, photographs and interviews with people who have lived and worked on the High Street over the years, the program will provide a snapshot of life in and around the city.
