FRIDAY 5.10PM: Severn Trent Water tonight responded to criticism that low water pressure might have hampered the firefighting effort.
It was called at 8.20am by the fire service requesting assistance and arrived at the council offices about an hour later.
A spokeswoman said that shortly after its engineer arrived at the scene he was told the fire service didn't require any further assistance, but he remained on site just in case further help was required until 11am.
