Petrella's book is not a comprehensive discussion of the future of liberation theology that takes account of its present, multifaceted, and global ferment. Instead, P. circumscribes his project to the germinal context of liberation theology, for which a more apt title would have been "The Future of Latin American Liberation Theology."
