Writing in this paper on Wednesday ('A unique opportunity to wipe out housing shortage', May 20) the Minister for Housing, Caroline Flint, MP, tried to justify Gordon Brown's plan to build a new 'eco-town' called 'Middle Quinton' in South Warwickshire by using the housing waiting list numbers.
As the MP for the Stratford-on-Avon constituency, which includes the site, I want to give her the real facts concerning housing need in Stratford District. Hopefully we can then draw a line through this Bawed argument and the unpopular eco-town ...
