Metalloinvest's MGOK aims to produce 2.5 mln tonnes of hematite concentrate

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Mikhailovsky GOK, a major producer of iron ore commodities that is controlled by Metalloinvest, has begun producing hematite concentrate in commercial quantities from current production waste.

MGOK plans to produce 7,000 tonnes of hematite concentrate with 58% iron content in May, and double this figure to 14,000 tonnes in June, producing a total of 150,000 tonnes by the end of the year, the company said in a statement.
