Strategies to help you and your young writers track progress

Do You spend too many hours evaluating your students' writing? What can you do to encourage kids to look at their work with insight? While there are no amazing shortcuts when it comes to thoughtful assessment, there are techniques that don't eat up tons of time and yet are highly effective. Here are six assessment strategies that have made a difference in my classroom.
