A CATHOLIC priest is facing prison after admitting a series of sex attacks on young children.

Fr John Benedict Corrigan, 71, was extradited from Ireland to the UK to face justice for sexually abusing three boys and a girl in the north east of England.

At Newcastle Crown Court yesterday, the retired clergyman admitted indecently assaulting a girl of 15 nearly 40 years ago.
