VIRGINIA BEACH -- VIRGINIA BEACH - Don R. Christian Jr., affectionately known as "Ricky," after a long illness, died May 8, 2008, at his home. Ricky was born May 4, 1945, to late Eugenia and Don Christian Sr. in Newport News where he attended public schools. He served his country in Vietnam, receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in July 1967. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Norfolk State University in 1973.
