THE father of a teenager killed while the pair rode motorbikes in America, says his solo return trip has helped him come to terms with the tragedy.

Les Kay returned to Los Angeles alone and undertook a 16,000 mile ride through the Rockies and into Central America in memory of his son, Cai ap Leslie.

Cai was killed in a collision with a truck last July as he travelled with his father.
