The Ohio Capital Fund has been particularly good at two things: Attracting venture capital firms to the state and pumping money into Northeast Ohio.
The state fund, which puts money into venture capital firms that commit to investing in Ohio, has led six venture firms from outside Ohio to establish a presence in the state, with four of the six firms hiring executives to look for deals in Northeast Ohio.
