Local employers say they're eager to hire college graduates this spring.

That is, if they have the right skills.

"Everybody keeps saying that (the job market is) not great, but I'm not seeing that," said Tracy Rickett, a human resources specialist with Inficon, in DeWitt, at a recent job fair at Onondaga Community College. "I would love to hire some grads."

Though signs that the national economy is slowing down are everywhere, Rickett and other work-force professionals said they see a strong local job market for college ...
