Local Catholics should learn the fate of about 25 parishes by the end of June.

At least 11 of those churches will close in the second major round of changes in the Syracuse Roman Catholic Diocese's reconfiguration. They were included in a list of churches that were merged in pairs or groups of three last year, with the understanding that at least one building in each grouping would close.
