The Cayuga Indian Nation is re-sinking its Finger Lakes roots in more than one way.

Tribal officials announced Thursday that the Cayugas have acquired about 211 acres of former ancestral land in the town and village of Seneca Falls.

They're planning to use some of the land to feed their people, much like their ancestors did more than 200 years ago.
