SOME 63,000 people are now feared dead in the Burma cyclone - as its secretive dictators were last night accused of dragging their feet over life-saving aid.

State-run media put the death toll at 22,000 - more than double the official figure given 24 hours earlier.

But with 41,000 still missing since Saturday's 120mph storms, aid workers fear that grim figure will soar.
