STEVE COPPELL should thank his lucky stars John Madejski is on crutches - or the Reading chairman might feel like chasing his manager out of town.

Just a few weeks ago Reading looked a decent bet to maintain their Premier League status.

Now, even victory at relegated Derby County next Sunday will not guarantee survival.
