PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, Apr. 30, 2008 (IPS/GIN) -- The recession in the United States is endangering a unique experiment that has helped Cambodia to become a leading player in the global campaign to eradicate sweatshops in the textile industry.
"I think that the industry is going through a tough time," said Ken Loo, who was until recently secretary of the Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia and who is still closely associated with the sector.
