International companies express interest in buying Nationwide.(News)

Nationwide Airlines has been thrown a lifeline with the news that two "very, very large" international companies have expressed interest in buying the beleaguered airline.

The airline was provisionally liquidated yesterday, but |its management and attorneys were "working around the clock" to package Nationwide as a product they could sell.

Johannesburg insolvency attorney Haroon Laher said the provisional liquidation could be discharged at any point if an agreement was reached to buy the business and its assets.
