Shri Bhavani Singh, who ruled the Northwestern India state of Danta as Maharana between 1928 and 1948, was a beneficent leader who served his subjects well. Bhavani Singh was a devout Hindu, and his kindly, tolerant spirituality colored all of his dealings with his people.
