THE Daily Post's Sheep of the Year competition relaunches next week with exhibitors keeping a nervous eye on bluetongue's progression towards Wales.

The midge-borne disease is causing organisational headaches for show and sale secretaries on both sides of the border.

Livestock entries at many events are expected to be slightly down this year with surveillance zone breeders staying away.
